The Power and Burden of Melanin

100% of humanity was born without a choice of parents or geographical location. Yet to be born with melanin seems to be a crime worldwide. Life has unlimited possibilities for those born absent of the permanent tan. Then again, if you happen to be born with that permanent tan, you’ll likely have a lifetime to disprove all the created lies, myths, and manifested fears about your assumed guilty verdict of simply being. Like a child looking for acceptance, approval, and maybe even love from a parent or society; many will sacrifice a world of dignity to accomplish a glimpse.

This study of life has been conducted countless times throughout recorded history. One thing seems to be abundantly clear, showing care, love, nutrition, and positive guidance will change the molecular, physiological, and mental structure of human development. For instance, many in the medical field, including psychologist and scientists, have taken a pair of identical twins and separated them at birth, dealing with that exact premise. The child that was kept with minimal human interactions, including basic nutrition, developed dramatically lessor than the child cared for with an abundance of love. Shorter height, weaker bone density, smaller muscle development, and brain functions were compromised.

Now imagine stripping the dignity of a group of humans solely because they achieved more than you can imagine before you could. Born with a strong resistance to the sun, has influenced language, bathing, astrology, fashion, agriculture, paper making, irrigation, toothpaste, musical instruments, course meals, food preserves, crystal glasses, community and family oriented; but the worst of all…trusting and hospitable. In America they had the nerve to survive the grimaced crimes of humanity starting in 1492; including being the first group of humans whose identity, lineage, accomplishments, language, including religion was erased from history for His Story. Laws were made to explain how you were nothing more than property. Those laws stated why its okay to hold a human against their will, rape, beat, kill and even eat you; not to mention it being illegal to speak your original language, nor learn the new one or participate an anything of choice in life.

The same people, families, descendants of those hateful creators have the audacity to publicly and verbally assault those survivors of the worlds most hateful crimes; all while having centuries of a heads start on the stolen future, taking credit for countless inventions stolen and blaming those with the permanent tans for the unimaginable daunting weight of their earned guilt. So much so that several states within the U.S. have already made it illegal to teach about their families’ true history, possibly due to how many mirrors would break from the inherited callousness towards accountability.

The permanent tan society has proven several things that are very unpopular to publicly speak on throughout the centuries of unthinkable terrors survived. They have not acted upon the imaginations of the conductors of the world’s insecurity wrapped in hatred. In fact, they’ve done the exact opposite; while praying with patience to their captors, religious beliefs waiting to be saved. Having the burden to be more polite, forgiving, patient, and hospitable versus what has been afforded to us. In many instances, working twice as hard at times for a fraction of the benefits. Being the abundant recipients of so many immoral laws that were not followed by the ones that created them; including those that bend a knee on Saturday or Sunday. Look at the U.S. holiday calendar, you’ll find many of those are reminders of its celebrated crimes (Thanksgiving…)

While barely scratching the surface on the facts, I understand the heavy guilt of those that once took pictures at Saturday afternoon lynchings with the entire household, including children, then going home to a nice dinner. The abundance of paid politicians, educators, business people, bankers, real estate agents, law officials, judges and parents that purposely misled/mislead countless minds looking to be educated and treated with equality that leads to dignity. Somehow, many survivors with the permanent tan live life as the example they haven’t been afforded themselves from the world’s society of His Story. Care givers, experimental dummys, inventors, chiefs, homemakers, writers, musicians, builders, athletes, and trend setters. Hence, I weirdly understand some of the guilt.
