Return to Sender

I’ve been asked for years to put these words onto paper. I found that not many truly wanted that to happen. I find the more unfiltered information I deliver to people, the more it’s rejected. Spending my life fighting to protect the innocent and sharing valuable information to assist removing a person from a problem has fallen on deaf or reluctant ears. The government doesn’t want intelligent, vocal Black males to speak up against the plentiful atrocities. Many within the White community do not want honest communication about their involvement. Nor does many in the Black community want to be reminded of how they’re failing our ancestors.

There’s no shortage of people who want to claim, I know the ballplayer. The guy that’s thrown many aromatic barbecues with all the fixings and drinks. The person who coached the little league teams. The person who has mentored and spoken at many schools to give developing minds awareness of potential and hope. The person that’s left plenty of money or parties on the table to be a present parent. The man that has given up his seat anytime the opposite sex, an elder or tired person, needed one. Yet what is clearer? Not many want to hear or acknowledge the following: The person that has tried to fight the ignorance of racism/discrimination head on. The person that sacrificed his peace of mind, including body’s health while actually serving in the military for the ideals and claimed freedoms of all; regardless if most have never served anything but themselves. The person who says it’s not as hard as people keep making the excuses to continue the ignorance. Life is not as hard as people continually make it for others.

Right now, this very moment, there’s unlimited videos of half-naked people presenting themselves as prostitutes that have millions of views and / or subscribers. Sadly, you’ll subscribe for some sex you’ll never get but shun beneficial knowledge! The funny thing is that most people will never get anything personally from those objectifying themselves. Now I’ve written a book, In and Out of Darkness, that will dramatically benefit any person who reads it. Regardless of whether it’s to help them cope with their very own pain/tragedy or understanding someone else’s. It’s a guide to help understand people and their experiences for you to be able to communicate better with them. How much do you feel you can accomplish from arguing with a brick wall? Therefore, would it not help to understand how the person you want to communicate with hears the information you want to articulate? Anyone can talk about sports, or the Kardashians etc… but those people can care less about you unless you’re buying a ticket or adding to their bottom line.

None of us have a single right to complain about a thing if we refuse to participate in the action to repair it. The first part of repairing or bettering anything is to initiate a simple conversation. A conversation will not make you bleed. That’s due to the weakness of another person inability to control their undeveloped emotions. Real strength doesn’t need to exercise itself to reveal itself. There’s nothing in this world more powerful than our minds. Utilizing our brain is what people want to communicate on different continents within seconds. Using our brains is what got us flying across the ocean in hours and not at sea for months. Activating our brains beyond our muscles is how we can all survive and thrive outside of the pain that humans keep creating. There’s enough for us all to live like the kings and queens we’re meant to be. Muscle will always burn out faster than our brains; ask any professional fighter.

In closing, let’s feed our most important muscle, our brains. Medically speaking, our brain is a sophisticated network of neurons and chemicals that coordinates everything from our survival functions; with the addition to our advanced thinking along with creativity. Our brain has the ability to constantly adapt while learning from our experiences and then adjusting to the new challenges. I’m currently challenging all to turn off the programming from our government, which has been forced on us since childhood. Then, actually think for yourself and not from what some self-serving overpaid media representatives reflect the views of their owners and not of the people whom ears and minds they hold. As for the country that arrogantly shouts to the entire world, America’s the best country in the world; why have you never proven it? If the vast majority of your citizens are struggling, how are you the greatest? If so many have debilitating medical issues that most can not afford to repair, how are you the greatest? If you the government have more debt than the next largest 5 countries combined, how are you the greatest? If Black Americans still aren’t afforded equality of basic human rights, how are you the best? Think for yourself. It’s time to turn off the snooze alarm and wake up. By holding those accountable with the titles that reap the majority of benefits, we all can live better. We all can be allies. We can all share our very own Metropolis, Utopia, or Wakanda.

Like you said in previous article, people get very uncomfortable when facing their own mirror.
