Pancakes for Accountability

When the professional and amateurs abuse their public and internal positions to cowardly advance their weaknesses. This goes along that typical line of insecurity, mixed with equal parts of jealousy. When a simple minded person sees or witnesses a person or group that has the “it” factor and most likely will never obtain it for themselves; therefore let me use this unearned platform (in many ways) to spread as much doubt or as many lies as possible so the coward doesn’t feel as bad about their own lacking abilities This can be seen on an academic level, sporting, corporate, civilian, inventor, medical, and, of course, parenting. This is in part why every sport in America was segregated for so long, while key leadership positions have long sought equality. This goes across the board, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, golf, and tennis. The public and the media have spared no expense to drag the names of as many promising or generation talents the world has seen due to the recipients possessing the world’s most sought-after commodity, melanin So let’s call it exactly what it is, implicit bias: Noun, unconscious favoritism towards or prejudice against people of a particular ethnicity, gender, or social group that influences one’s actions or perceptions

Let’s start with the NFL and NBA drafts because unless you just climbed from under a rock, people know they happen annually. Looking through the lens of, let’s say, the Associated Press (AP), which since its dawning has been a majority of nonmelanated people assessing very melanated people and ripping them to shreds at Will. No proof is needed with the melanated because once the extrapound of judgment has been placed into the atmosphere, it’s as good as a new guilty verdict of character destruction. What! Where is the proof! Not in the country I’m in love with! Oh yes, indeed, and the mechanism performs daily. How many careers have been derailed before they could start, or dimmed during their prime, because some cowardly journalist or media personal mentioned an association that has nothing to do with the sport; during this athletes time to shine and change his/her life during the pre-draft events. Their cousin across the country was charged with, “Let’s say, drug possession.” Did you sell or take drugs with them? A person falsely accused an athlete of sexual assault that was proven a lie to cover up the actual person that did it, if at all. A lot of this happens for being strong enough not to kiss the Ring. Believe it or not, there’s a worst crime within the media, a melanated person having the audacity to be confident in one’s own abilities. Example of this double standard with former Colorado Buffalo and future NFL quarterback (QB) Shedeur Sanders. His father, Deion Sanders, has raised an accomplished and confident young man; yet these very same traits that are praised when a permanent tan isn’t found are used as a negative with people like him. Is it cocky when an airline pilot says, I we will get you to your destination on time…” or is that person confident in his/her training and abilities?

When a nonmelanated athlete shows actual arrogance and loud with the mefirst persona, it’s considered pure passion. For instance,QB Aaron Rodgers. Regardless if no one within the locker room likes who this person is because they tend to treat others like crap and everyone should be lucky to breathe their exhaled air. For instance, when the NFL was synonymous with violence back in the early 2000s, 90s, and earlier, players like Bill Romanowski, who played for the 49ers, would be in jail today if he was melanated. Not only did he spit in players faces, broke a teammate’s eye socket during a practice fight, and even admitted to purposely trying to injure other players, along with using performanceenhancing drugs (PEDs); yet he was allowed to have a 16 year career (19882003). Modern example: when the Philadelphia Eagles drafted a QB Carson Wentz, who his teammates could not tolerate; yet players like Carson receive numerous opportunities and record contracts while required to produce less. How about the Cincinnati Bengals with QB Joe Burrow, it’s amazing that the very same confidence that cool Joe Burrow exudes with his shades and cigars has in his approach to the game on and off the field; yet, it’s the exact opposite media commentary with a quarterback with melanin. Then, of course, it’s his he needs to humble himself. His arrogance takes away from the game, and it’s all about himself They aren’t worth the risk of paying that next contract These players coming out of college can easily lose up to 50% of their contract opportunities due to these statements and drafted in much later rounds. The point is that nonmelanated player accolades are highlighted, and the melanated player public ideals seem to be highlighted beyond the in the game contributions.

Examples: Colin Kaepernick, former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, was unofficially banned from playing football because he had the nerve to speak up against Americas violence towards the Black community. Many in America, especially within the media, stated, “There’s no place for politics in sports, just play…” The current President Trump/Musk during his first term said, Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he’s fired!” Bastards like him should be immediately fired and kicked out of the country. However, home grown terrorist groups like the Proud Boys are lovable Patriots, and pardoned from accountability.” The same President stated members from the KKK that drove into a crowd and killed random innocence during a protest for equality, are good hard working Americans…” Back to the 49ers, that has a Nick Bosa, who has been praised for wearing what many would consider a racists MAGA hat but he still has his job. So, politics are allowed in sports as long as you use sunscreen? Former QB and Hall of Fame member, Brett Farve (also MAGA) is part of a criminal ring that has stolen millions from the poorest state in the country being Mississippi; yet ESPN and other networks has refused to put a spotlight on him. Players like the retired great QB Tom Brady was able to accomplish the unbelievable, at the same time the league made specific rules to protect him so you better had not allowed a gas bubble to come near him and their was a redflag in the air. Then you have a generational talent like a Cam Newton who also showed professionalism on and off the field; but that permanent tan rubbed many the wrong way and Cam was allowed to be the most abused athlete on the field during his career with minimal redflags to protect him from the target practice. The very same rule applies to QB Lamar Jackson, who refused to follow the footsteps of feeding the greedy agents of the league and kept it in the family. Despite the fact that he has an abysmal professional playoff record at this moment, Lamar has steadily received undue criticisms about what he’s lacking versus what he’s produced. He’s been a proven winner since high school, collegiate, and into his professional career. Yet the goal line keeps getting moved, Lamar was clearly robbed this past 2024 season based on every metric towards obtaining his third Most Valuable Player award (MVP) award to a less deserving (statistically) Josh Allen. Not that Josh Allen didn’t have an amazing season. It just wasn’t to the same level statistically beyond Lamar’s.

Flipping the pancakes of accountability towards the doublestandards of media coverage and or sponsorship. The NFL has already been discussed. The NBA has routinely punished melanated athletes beyond their counterparts. Examples: Kyrie Irvin, who was sought out by the media and the Jewish community to try and end his career, for speaking on historical facts that Black people per the Bible and historical facts are the original Jews; hence Canaan or Judea being in the Middle Eastern and North Africa. Let’s not forget that the media loves getting quotes from athletes but not when they mention any unethical situations, e.g. Racist mascots like Laura Ingraham, telling LeBron James shut up and dribble…” How about how often Track & Field drug tests the melanated athletes versus the others. World Champion, Sha’Carri Richardson, was suspended 30-days for testing positive for nonharmful and very legal THC aka marijuana after the death of her biological mother. That kept her out of the Tokyo Olympics because, we can’t have another athlete destroying the competition while Black. MLB has a long history of clear PEDs but no problem until they believed Barry Bonds out performed his counterparts from Hisstory. Tennis, Venus and Serena Williams have been the sports most dominant players ever. Despite the numerous accolades they receive more criticism; but has a fraction of the endorsement deals as they’re non-melanated and less accomplished peers. Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali, gained a religious perspective and had a part of his career stolen from him with his World Championship Belt and money for not fighting in an immoral Vietnam war despite having religious protection. Then the PGA, the entire world of golf owes one Tiger Woods a thank you. Tiger revolutionized the game with his impact in terms of popularity and financial growth. Before turning pro in 1996 the PGA Tour prize money was $101 million. By 2008, it exploded to $280 million; and in 2023 it skyrocketed to over $560 million. Point being golf rarely heard of a groupie before Tiger and many hypocrites tried to end his career over something that had nothing to do with his playing golf. I’ve not heard of any group nor media outlets that claimed a person should lose their career in sports or the corporate arena due to an affair on their spouse. The amount of men and women that had or are currently in extra marital affairs would leave a lot of key positions vacant if that standard was equally distributed across the board. Examples: the Presidency, Congress, Senate, Judiciary committees, CEO’s, Doctors, Nurses, Pilots, Flight attendants, Bar staff, Hotel staff, Military, Churches, Therapists, Financial advisors, Mail carriers, Bored housewives, Media anchors, Journalists, just to name a handful. What’s printed and said publicly has consequences; yet accountability is in the ashes. Mic drop
