Challenging Assumptions about Achievement: Just because something was hard for you does not mean you were hard working. Getting promoted to a higher salaried position does not mean you were the most or best qualified person for the position. Being in a company or industry for 10, 15, 20 plus years does not mean you were good at your job. Having access to money does not make one a genius. Inherited wealth or access does not mean anyone owes you an ounce more of their respect; besides respect is earned by actions, not by your name, title, gender, nor exploited cleavage/sexuality.
Parenting and Deservedness: Getting pregnant does not mean you deserve everyone else’s money for your baby’s shower. Providing financially alone does not mean you are a good father or mother, children need a standard of guidance; not just buying every toy or symbol they’ve ever wanted. Having children does not make you a loving or qualified mother, nor a deserving one. People having fun to make babies, then using their kids as a personal workforce to do your responsibilities is abusive. Yes, personal responsibilities build character; however, that’s not doing your job in raising your other children…
Misconceptions about Race and Equality: Having a preference to sleep with say Black people does not prove or mean you aren’t bigoted. Knowing one Black person doesn’t mean you stand for equality. Your imagination will always take over if you continually maintain the segregation of your mind; how can you know or understand a people if you refuse to engage in an honest conversation. Example, I’ve gained so much knowledge and awareness, due to conversing with people from multiple backgrounds and ethnicities. If you’re receiving all your information from someone that looks like you the odds are there’s plenty missing. Listen, learn and grow.
Expertise vs. Observation: Watching a sporting event on the television, or owning season tickets or being labeled a journalist, does not make you an expert on said sport: spectator not specialist, knowledgeable not athletes. One might understand the rules, and the salary cap ramifications but not the true meaning of what it feels like to make that basket in crunch time; or to take that hit from a 300 pound lineman; or to get ran over in rugby, or to get spiked by cleats in fotebol/soccer…
Social Roles and Appearances: Receiving a paycheck as a teacher does not mean you actually enhance the minds of any students. Being paid as a Judge or a Mayor most definitely does not mean you are or have acted Honorable as the arrogant title claims on their desks. Paying into the corrupted bank of child support does not make you a parent. Having a certain skin color does not mean you are apart of the community. Doctors swearing to the Hippocratic Oath, haven’t stopped them from being hypocrites. Becoming a police officer does not make you brave; hence how many continually get away with murder by stating that Black skin scared me! Long gone are the lies and illusions written on squad cars claiming: To Protect and Serve. Ask the Black community when was the last time they felt protected in the United States.
Possessions and Capabilities: Having a stove and someone’s recipe book does not mean you are a chief. Just because you have the parts does not mean your sex is good or enjoyable. Having a fancy car and jewelry does not show you’re valuable. Possessing a certain degree does not mean you are intelligent; knowledgeable maybe but not intelligent. Having children does not make one a parent. Having an animal does not mean you’re caring or responsible (dog crap globally).
Actions and Identity: Sharing a bloodline does not mean I owe you a damn thing; therefore, if I do for you it’s because I care about you. Just because you attend a church service every now and then, does not mean you aren’t a monster. Waiting for the drunkest person at the bar/club doesn’t mean you’re a player: Assault Specialist! Making the statement of being “independent“ means absolutely nothing; so congratulations you’re now an adult, welcome to the club. Many of us cannot use the bank account of tears to get out of accountability nor responsibility. Being a senior citizen doesn’t mean you deserve my respect, I won’t disrespect you, but you’ve had a lot of life to get away with your crap. The bill is still due, if not for you then for your loved ones. Right now is and always has been the best time to do what’s morally right; please don’t pass on your crap to the next innocent. Do you believe others see what you think you see in your mirror?
