A Day’s Start: Waking up in the near future before the sunrise to no alarm clocks. Needing to unbound the locks and the planks covering the doors and windows. Checking the air quality for the day, figuring out how long you can be out in the elements. Then heading out to gather what’s available for food. You go on your daily search to find other humans to fear or trade with for essentials to keep going.
Humanity’s Altered State: Everyone is looking very familiar yet so completely different with the gene pool being so limited, increasing genetic disorders or disfigurements. You need to work and enjoy what you can because current life expectancy is mid–to–late 30s, but can increase to the mid–40s if you take more than the others. You can thank the lacking appreciation for the contributions of say, Dr. Charles Drew– who invented Blood banking and plasma separation. Dr. Patricia Bath– who created the Laserphaco Probe First laser cataract surgery device. Otis Boykin– who invented the Control unit for pacemakers. But let’s temporarily forget about your lack of vision because without the contributions of an Alice H. Parker– creating the Gas heating furnace, most would freeze.
The Scarcity of Resources: Exploration is dramatically slower since the animals fight for their freedom to roam with their own. Dogs and cats are no longer a domesticated stress dolls for the irresponsible. Beyond that too many would be considered for a meal since food is so scarcely located. Then again it would be difficult since the Refrigerated Truck was invented by Frederick McKinley Jones. The unlimited variety of ethnic food options along with worldly seasonings are gone. You need to be prepared to physically fight to maintain whatever goods you found to live on or under because of the scarcity of available resources. Only if there was a Henry Blair– who could help automate agricultural planting; by being only the second Black person to receive a U.S. patent out of the millions of patents stolen by the people that don’t look like him. No more factories nor assembly lines of workers because they’ve moved on to appreciation. Farms have limited workers that can deal with working in the sunlight. Regardless they wouldn’t work smoothly without the use of Synthetic Lubricants that was also invented by Dr. Patricia Bath.
Loss of Societal Structures and Support: They’re no more worthless awards ceremonies to help with that huge hole in one’s chest; now, one must look within for gratification. There is no one that doesn’t look like you to blame for your situation. There’s no one else to steal ideas or inventions from to claim and patent as your own. There is no one available to raise your children you keep having, while you graciously take all the credit as if having money alone was being a great parent. Expedited information is at an all-time slow, being there’s no computers; since Mark Dean– IBM PC and gigahertz processor isn’t invented. You barely can communicate because there’s no written words left; due to the laws that started in California, Florida, and Texas that banned all books on learning about you and your families actions. A different stressor is the glorified slave catchers with badges now have no one left to beat on, S.A. or murders due to the historical fears of the majestical–unfamiliar-permanent-tan, filled with unlimited-abilities in their path.
Environmental Hazards and Travel Restrictions: Travel will be very dangerous with the traffic light being gone, since Garrett Morgan–invented the 3–way traffic signal. Trains wouldn’t be an option either, Elijah McCoy– created automatic lubrication system for trains and engines; hence the phrase “The Real McCoy“. Then you have Granville T. Woods– who created the Railroad telegraphy system. None of the previous matters since the “lazy” Black natives and the Chinese aren’t available to build the rail lines anyway. When you think there’s better opportunities in other areas it’s hard to imagine getting there; because the ocean protects itself from the global pollution experts and it attacks you as soon as you put a pinky–toe into its waters.
Environmental and Economic Collapse: Without the knowledge bestowed by George Washington Carver– Crop rotation and peanut–based innovations, sweet potatoes, and soybeans improving Southern U.S. agriculture countless options for food would be lost. Unfortunately, the trees no longer provide free food because to the years of abuse while sterilizing them to control the man–made artificial markets (GMO), that poisoned most of the population also making the people sterile. Let’s not forget the money doesn’t matter any more, because too much had been printed to comfort the few greedy wolves; while covering up their daily screwups and now holds zero value. At the very same time, that also means the people can care less about the worthless title(s) you’ve graciously have abused for far too long. Those with the shortest life expectancy are those that hoarded the most monies from the trusting. They are the least equipped to deal with disappointments and living via one’s own accomplishments; therefore more prone to starvation since they can no longer buy anymore passes in life, and provide very little to the betterment of a possible future for others.
The Struggle for Survival: Hopefully no one comes and takes whatever left with their military and starts by using gas attacks; because remove the contributions of a Garrett Morgan– who created the gas mask, precursor (safety hood), which was used in rescue missions; and lead to the current military gas masks. Without the distractions of envied athletes getting injured, or the daily lies and or exaggerations of the paid off media outlets, the remaining people start to self–implode; due to the overwhelming inner guilt on how they helped strangle the planet by their own greed and ignorance towards accountability. Unfortunately life has become a daily lesson of survival for this group, because they were handed the answers to the tests; but not familiar with working out the solutions. (Thanks to the efforts of Siri and Alexa) What now that the room of your peers see you as much as a threat as they are to you? Who can you step on now to lift yourself up? When so much was built on the fear and hate or deception disappears; who can you then blame for your discomforts or utter failures?

A Day’s End: After boarding back up your dwelling and you’re left with your remaining thoughts. Here lies your future mirror: Post–apocalyptic life is a daily struggle for survival. Resources are scarce, leading to competition and violence. The environment is hostile, and societal structures have collapsed. People grapple with guilt over past actions and a diminished life expectancy, facing physical challenges and psychological burdens in a world devoid of support systems and readily available resources. The only people left are those that converted to being American and look the same internally despite any genetic makeup. And the most expensive food is now a fresh salad.
