I think 99% of life’s problems are due to lack of self reflection. It’s often said you can only control yourself and your reactions to everything around you. Often history shows when people don’t take the time to reflect on the lessons to be learned from the past. They are doomed to repeat the same path so many before them have fallen prey to. Stuck in the past or stuck in the future, afraid to move forward. Unable to see what they have become or who they are yet to be. The 7 deadly sins are the perfect archetype for what becomes of those who cannot see what is in the mirror. Humility, compassion, healing, gratitude, wisdom, joy, and peace are only achievable with consistent reflection and growth from what you experience. To pass on that wisdom and for each individual to take part in this valuable skill is the only way to cause change. It doesn’t happen overnight, life has its downs, and people make poor decisions, but the only way to grow to be better individuals is to embrace it.

Agreed, but for that to happen families need to be more honest about what they’ve hidden and governments need to be accountable for their actions/decisions. Change can happen overnight when people want them to. For instance if you find out a food you’ve eaten or water you swim in can make your body stink or die much sooner; than people say that moment I’m done with said activity. It shouldn’t be so hard for people to do what’s considered righteous; but then again too many people benefit from the inequalities.
