The Killer Pen

The lack of accountability of the media’s (including social media) or the government’s pen is no mystery to the average eye; yet why has it worked so awfully perfect? Why do many gullibly absorb so much utter nonsense knowing the questionable history of actions of those at the top? Is it that guilt clouds the eyes and the ears of the countless participants or beneficiaries?

The very people that control the pen of his story are the very same ones that owned s the whips, chains, and guns. For instance, the claim of Columbus discovering a continent that has been inhabited hundreds if not thousand of years before his broken compass arrived. The British, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese, among other precipitants of injustice, brutally destroyed the humanity of those that inhabited the Americas amongst other global hotspots There wasn’t an act of war of civilized people, but a heartless/soulless hatred that used the world’s ocean to create a life’s long genocide of the people that respected and took care of the land. Then again, not many would write a manuscript of hatred; oh, I apologize there many hate manuals available. The Birth of a Nation, in 1915, gave a private screening at the White House for President Woodrow Wilson. “The Star Spangled Banner,”Their blood has washed their foul footstep’s pollution.  No refuge could save the hireling and slave from the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave…  I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag….

From my earliest memories recalling how every nationality on earth was portrayed by a white man’s family’s imagination. David Carradine, portraying a Shaolin monk, because the networks said the world wasn’t ready to witness a powerful person in the likes of a Bruce Lee. The Natives that invited the non-permanent-tanned visitors to meals, trade, and taught how to navigate the vast land became savages with the pen. That happened after they were brutally rapped, beaten, robbed, swindled, and practically eradicated from the earth. So, John Wayne was one of America’s “heroes,” constantly killing the identity and truth of Natives one movie at a time. Elizabeth Taylor was able to show Egypt was a White Island that has nothing to do with Black desperate Africans. Including, Tarzan the white savory in Africa saving the innocent white woman from the beasts. White in cinema or literature are the saviors. While the darker skin person is the thug, beggar, lazy, ignorant peasant. The extreme that many white people globally boycotting the idea of Idris Elba portraying the 25th James Bond (fictional character), even the cartoon movie The Little Mermaid had grown men throwing public tantrums of Halle Bailey as Ariel (fictional character).

When one chooses to believe the lies that have never been seen, who is the problem? Example, The United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) or basically the female KKK has been Americas Parent Teachers Association (PTA) group just wanting to ensure no person of color should ever be comfortable nor safe. These women have had influence on what countless people think and believe; for instance, pushing for statues and monuments of horrible men and making millions believe they were heroes. This includes much false information in school books. Much injustice has happened to those with permanent tans, yet the notion is they should’ve complied or what did they do? Not why did this just happen, immediately de-sensitized to the humanity of anyone that doesn’t look white. Donald Trump and many Americans publicly called Colin Kaepernick, among others lowdown sons of bitches for politely protesting police discrimination and killing citizens of the Black and Brown community; yet the same breath called members of the Ku Klux Klan that recently drove a car into a crowd of people murdering innocent humans as very fine people.

Let’s say there’s a child of color above 5 years old. The media will label this innocent child as a possible criminal or thug with a lunch box. Then on the other hand an 18, 25, 45, or 55 year old white person rapes, steals, holds hostage, or murders a person/group and the label is “this misunderstood youth, or young scholar, quiet person, the person that helps Mrs Jones with the grocery. Color people who use recreational drugs to cope are criminals and need to be labeled as such with a prison sentence, keeping them from many constitutional rights and employment. However, white drug addicts that kill, steal, make sex-tapes, abandon their kids in cars/homes/basements/closet’s are suffering from mental health issues and simply need rehabilitation to not negatively effect their futures.

The power of the pen is infinite, also a part of freedom of speech as long as you look like the group that penned the law in the first place. Otherwise, trying to hold the lighter skinned group accountable is insulting and unfair to them if you speak anything other than flattery. How many more will needlessly die at the sharp blade of the unjust pen. Many die well before their last breath due to society suffocating their potential before it starts. If the pen wrote more about the truths of Black or African excellence, we all could be more unified and thrive. If the many worldly contributions the Black/African community has provided to the globe were widely known, maybe there would be more appreciation and acceptance.

In closing, the insane rationalization for atrocities is commendable; seeing that so many have successfully navigated life free of guilt and accountability of the mirror. Could it be the omitting of Brown contributions accompanied by the omitting of White reality leaving us with centuries of humans believing the lies or deceptions of the willed pen? Do you believe people would act better if they were more conscious of their participation towards the world’s love or hate? Is it possible a group of people would have more pride and awareness if they knew the contributions their people have added to the world; therefore, they can also make more additions to the Gumbo of life? Can you imagine the sound heard around the world if the many were actually made to see the reflection for the first time in the mirror?
