As Malcom X once clearly stated in a warning to the overly trusting yet all-too-often gullible Black community: “A wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing is still a wolf.”
As hateful, ignorant, and evil as the KKK has been throughout America’s history, at least they recorded their intentions with public lynchings. Yes, they cowardly wore bed sheets and pillowcases on their heads because they knew their evil deeds were immoral, and they didn’t want to ruffle feathers at church or in their government offices. (Not much unlike the cowardly ICE affiliates)
It seems all too often that supposed intelligent Americans do the exact opposite of the definitions of their acts.
- Example: Christians tend to do the exact opposite of What Would Jesus Do.
- Example: Supporting “individual rights” – unless those rights represent a certain ethnic group, namely non-white.
- Example: The myth of civil rights that is preached, but never honored.
Not once have current politicians nor the highly regarded media seemed willing to address the evil nature of too many white supremacy’s minions – spoiled feelings hurt, then attacking yet again another innocent school. Nor do they show empathy at how often law enforcement brutalizes or ends the life of Black citizens; but there is always public outrage over the lack of minorities mourning a person who, by every metric, was a blatant hate-monger and clear racist. The refusal to condemn the clear genocide of Palestine only adds to this hypocrisy.
And here is the distinction we must face: anyone can claim to support liberal values, but it is white liberals who wield the power to destroy. They hold the offices, the media platforms, the institutions, and the social currency. The Black community has always had to act more civilized, more courteous, and more forgiving than those who stole this land and run the country. We are told to be twice as patient, twice as professional, twice as kind – while those in power commit unlimited cruelty, with no accountability.
The Black community has been more than gracious and patient for America to do the right thing; therefore no one should be shocked when that kindness goes bankrupt, just like our once-hope for civility. Think about what you would do for freedom and to be treated as an equal human being. Now compound that with centuries of pain refused, dismissed, and buried under nothing more than greed and an internal need to represent evil. You have proven that a vampire’s thirst is simply unquenchable – and reflection-less.
But let me be clear: this isn’t just a warning for the Black community. This warning is for white America as well. No one can keep writing moral checks that their conscience cannot cash. No one can ridicule the world in an instant yet refuse to accept even the smallest ounce of ridicule in return.
The inability to be self-aware or accountable is as dangerous as the once-talked-about hole in the ozone layer. It is the tap-dancing on a thin sheet of ice stretched over the Grand Canyon. The excuses for the lack of humanity or decency are being spent like an unlimited AmEx card. But what happens when the credit runs out? When there are no more extensions to be better? When the bill finally comes due in full?
Do you really want to live in a reality where your manifested lies become true – and the generations of victims of your hate rise up as freedom fighters? What if, just what if, there truly was a rapture as written in the Book of Revelation? As it is written: “You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.” (Revelation 3:17).
I bet then, the honesty about white-on-white crimes would suddenly become an official topic.
What happens when the mirror is finally held up – forcing a society to see its own reflection – and instead of humility, it chooses outrage? What happens when the lies told to destroy the credibility of others come back to destroy the liar? Reality check: “how a person dies does not redeem how they lived.”
America cannot survive on its overdraft morality. Sooner or later, the foreclosure comes. And it will not be Black America who pays, we’ve been paying and too many have paid with more than our lives; but it will be the rest of a nation, devoured by the wolves it refuses to name.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7).
Final Call to Action
Malcolm warned us decades ago, and the warning has only grown sharper with time. Wolves do not change their nature by changing their costume. The Klan’s sheets have become suits and ties, the rope has become law, the mob has become policy, and the lies have become headlines.
But here is the truth America refuses to face: you cannot bury justice, you cannot bankrupt mercy, and you cannot drink blood forever without one day choking on it.
The choice is here and now: either this nation confronts its reflection with honesty, or it will collapse under the weight of its own hypocrisy. And when it does, do not be surprised if the wolves who thought they were in control are devoured by the very darkness they fed.
